I’ve rounded up a list of essential and DIY homemade and exfoliating masks that you can use to help you on your journey to clearer skin.
The best part about using these masks is that they all include 100% natural ingredients and therefore do not contain any harsh chemicals. Here is that list:
- Papaya Exfoliating Mask
What you will need:
- ¼ Papaya
- 1 Tbsp Raw honey
- ½ Tsp Lemon juice
- Blender
- Small bowl
Directions:
- Chop papaya into small pieces
- Add papaya, honey and lemon juice to blender
- Blend mixture to paste
- Apply mixture to your face; Leave on for 15-20 minutes
- Rinse with warm water; Pat dry
- Apply a moisturizer
- Coffee Mask
What you will need:
- 3 Tbsp used coffee grounds
- 1 Tbsp water
- ½ Tsp raw honey
Directions:
- Mix coffee, honey and water together until it turns into a paste
- Apply mixture to your face and massage gently
- Let the mixture sit on your face for 15-20 minutes
- Rinse off with warm water; Pat dry
- Moisturize your skin
- Baking Soda Scrub
What you will need:
- 1 Tbsp Baking Soda
- Water
- Small bowl
Directions:
- Combine baking soda, water into a small bowl
- Mix ingredients into a paste
- Dampen your face then apply mixture to your face; Massage into your skin
- Leave mixture on for 2-3 minutes
- Rinse with warm water then pat dry
- Apply moisturizer
- Sugar Scrub
What you will need:
- 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp organic coconut oil
Directions:
- Combine the sugar and coconut oil in a small bowl.
- Mix the two ingredients thoroughly
- Rub the mixture in circular motions on cleansed skin for about a minute
- Rinse face with warm water and pat dry
- Moisturize the skin
- Sugar Lemon Scrub
What you will need:
- 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
- Juice from ½ a lemon
- 1 Tbsp raw honey
- 1 Tsb olive oil
Directions:
- Combine the lemon juice and olive oil thoroughly in a small bowl.
- Once the 2 ingredients are well combined, add the raw honey and the granulated sugar
- Rub the mixture in circular motions on cleansed skin
- Rinse face with warm water and pat dry
- Moisturize the skin
- Sugar Honey and Green Tea
What you will need:
- 1 unflavored Green Tea bag
- 1 Tbsp raw honey
- 3 Tsb granulated sugar
Directions:
- Brew a cup of green tea. Use less water than normal so as to have a more concentrated tea
- Take 2 teaspoons of the green tea and pour into a bowl. Let it cool.
- Pour the sugar into the tea until the right texture is achieved.
- Add the honey and mix well
- Apply the mixture on freshly cleansed skin and rub in circular motions
- Rinse face with warm water and pat dry
- Moisturize the skin
- Yogurt and Honey Mask
What you will need:
- 2 Tbsp unflavored yogurt
- 1 Tbsp raw honey
Directions:
- Mix the yogurt and honey
- Apply the mixture on the skin and leave on for about 10 minutes
- Rinse face with warm water and pat dry
- Moisturize the skin
- Oatmeal & Honey Scrub
What you will need:
- 3 Tbsp finely ground oatmeal
- 1 Tbsp raw honey
Directions:
- Combine the 2 ingredients together and mix well
- Apply the mixture on freshly cleansed skin and rub in circular motions
- Rinse face with warm water and pat dry
- Moisturize the skin
- Salt & Sugar Scrub
What you will need:
- 1 Tbsp sea salt
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- I Tbsp Olive oil
- A few drops of essential oil such as lavender or peppermint
Directions:
- Combine the salt, sugar and olive oil
- Add the drops of your choice of essential oil and mix thoroughly
- Apply the mixture on clean, dry skin
- Rinse face with warm water and pat dry
- Moisturize the skin
- Rice, Lemon & Honey Scrub
What you will need:
- A handful of rice grains
- 1 Tbsp Honey
Directions:
- Roughly grind the rice in a food processor
- Add the honey to form a thick paste
- Apply the paste to the skin in circular motions
- Rinse face with warm water and pat dry
- Moisturize the skin
- Cinnamon & Honey Mask
What you will need:
- 2 Tbsp cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp raw honey
Directions:
- Combine the cinnamon and honey until a paste form
- Apply the paste onto the skin
- Leave on the face for 20 to 30 minutes
- Rinse with warm water and pat dry
- Moisturize the skin
